My Funny Valentine

After a long (but enjoyable) day of worship, my husband and I, who hadn’t planned a thing, decided to go hang out to celebrate v-day. We went to a live jazz place we stumbled upon last year (Charlie O’s) to have dinner and hear some great music. Of course it was a full house (well eventually) so we had to sit at the bar – right in front of the stage which was cool. The music was provided simply by a pianist, drummer and bass player (the John Herd Trio) accompanied tonight by some lady who was great BUT kept singin’ to my man!
Anywho. Somehow or another we came down to a bet on some festivities surrounding our 20th anniversary celebration in Nov. I will be singing to him ‘i’ve grown accustomed to his dace’ by jim tomlinson f/Stacey Kent. His response and my reward will be…
…
….
Wait for it…
Wait for it…
My serenade in response will be “pants on the ground” by general Larry platt (american idol).
Hey – that’s us… Don’t judge our love!
